We are launching new lines with a new supplier of mobility aids. Members will be entitled to a discount off the R.R.P. so we hope this will
add to the very good service we give our members but the general public can buy from us as well but not at the discounted price. You do not
have to have a disability to be a member and use our range of services so we are hoping this will increase the number of people who want to join us as members.
Christmas Wrapping
In spite of reduced staffing levels we are determined to continue this popular fund raising exercise from 10th – 21st December
between 11.00am and 4.00pm. We do need volunteers to help us achieve this. Please pick up the phone and make yourselves known to us 0208 770 0691
Mobility Clinics
In conjunction with Select Mobility we are offering monthly clinics open to the public where a qualified engineer can answer queries on scooters,
wheelchairs and other mobility aids. Servicing can be booked and costs clarified so avoid being taken for a ride come along and get the facts
before you buy or book. The clinics are run every second Tuesday of the month, on the 3rd Floor in the St Nicholas centre, Sutton.
Funding
As you will be aware, Sutton Shopmobility recently experienced a funding crisis when its Lottery Grant came to an
end last year. Currently we have received some funding from TFL which will contribute to costs this year. However, in
order for Sutton Shopmobility to achieve long term sustainability and prevent future cuts, the decision has been made to
introduce an annual membership charge from 1 April 2007.
Annual membership for individuals £10
Annual membership for funded organizations £35
Annual membership for non-funded organizations £25
Please be aware that also from 1 April 2007, the £3 recommended donation will become a £3 usage fee that must be paid to use the equipment for each visit.
New Funding from TFL
We are very pleased to have secured funding with T.F.L. (Transport for London) which will allow
us to continue as normal for one year.
We will carry on trying to raise funds through other sources in order to secure our long term future.
Sponsor a Scooter
Sutton Shopmobility is offering people and businesses the chance to sponsor one of its Scooters
for three months.
For £30.00, the sponsor can design a advert, message, or picture which will be attached to the
scooter and enjoy the fact they are helping a good cause. The £30.00 will go towards maintaining
the vehicle.
Local businesses looking for a unique advertising opportunity would benefit from this
Sponsorship as Shopmobility scooters are frequently seen out and about in the town.
